Editorial Policy
Last Updated: August 2026
At Michael’s Take, our primary commitment is to our readers. We believe that understanding the economy, business models, and commercial opportunities requires a clear, independent, and evidence based approach.
This Editorial Policy sets out the standards and principles that guide our research, analysis, and publishing process.
1. Editorial Independence Our analysis is strictly independent. We do not accept compensation, sponsorships, or gifts in exchange for favorable coverage, positive reviews, or altered conclusions.
Although the platform is monetized through advertising and affiliate partnerships, these commercial relationships do not influence our editorial decisions. If a company’s financial structure is weak, if a product’s unit economics do not hold up, or if an opportunity carries significant risks, we will state it clearly regardless of any commercial affiliation.
2. Evidence-Based Sourcing We rely on facts, not narratives. Our content is built on:
- Public records and regulatory filings (including SEC filings, earnings reports, and equivalent disclosures)
- Verifiable market data, pricing structures, and documented industry metrics
- Direct examination of contracts, terms of service, product offerings, and publicly available financial information
We do not publish rumors, unfounded speculation, or unverified claims. When we present an analytical thesis or projection, it is clearly identified as our reasoned opinion based on the available evidence.
3. Objectivity and Tone We aim to make complex economic and business topics accessible, clear, and useful. We strive to be critical but fair.
We examine both successes and failures to extract practical lessons. We avoid sensationalism, fear-mongering, and hype. When the data points to an uncomfortable reality, we present it directly. When a model or strategy works well, we explain precisely why.
4. Separation of Content and Commerce We maintain a clear separation between editorial content and monetization.
- Articles that contain affiliate links include a clear disclosure.
- Advertising is visually distinct from editorial analysis.
- Our focus remains on delivering accurate economic commentary, not on maximizing commercial conversions.
5. Accuracy, Corrections, and Updates Markets, corporate structures, product offerings, and pricing change constantly. We aim for accuracy at the time of publication, while recognizing that information can evolve.
- We may update articles when significant new information emerges.
- If we identify a factual error, we correct it promptly.
- Material updates or corrections may include a dated editor’s note explaining what changed and why.
6. Conflicts of Interest When a material conflict of interest exists such as ownership of a security, a business relationship, or a personal connection relevant to the subject we will disclose it where appropriate. Editorial conclusions are not influenced by such relationships.
7. Use of Technology and AI We may use technology and artificial intelligence tools to assist with data organization, proofreading, or workflow efficiency. However, all analysis, reasoning, judgment, and final editorial decisions are subject to human review and editorial approval by the publisher or editorial team.
We do not publish auto-generated analytical conclusions. Every piece of content is researched, reviewed, and finalized to meet our standards of critical thinking and intellectual honesty.
This policy reflects our ongoing commitment to independence, evidence, and clarity.
